About This Role
RAAMC are looking for combat paramedics that will be responsible in providing every aspect of health care to support and maintain the health and well-being of Army personnel.
The chosen candidate will provide independent pre-hospital emergency care, evacuation of casualties, resuscitation for the sick and wounded, and limited primary health care.
CBT Paramedic must be able to cope with conventional/unconventional injuries and illnesses in a variety of situations and environments, and they effectively form the first line of defence for emergency response and evacuation on the front line.
Applicants Must Hold
- Completion of Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics.
- Proof of a qualification of a minimum of a Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) or equivalent/ higher paramedic qualification;
- Evidence of employment as a current practising state-based Paramedic including:
a letter from the member’s employer outlining the applicants level of practice
and a Licence/Certificate of Practice or equivalent if available - Copy of current treatment protocols / guidelines authorised to use in accordance with current civilian employment.
*Note: You will be required to present employment qualifications and proof of current registration during the recruitment process for recognition by the Army School of Health. Applicants from other employers/institutions such as mines or oil rigs will not be accepted.
