About *Ambulance Driver Jobs Melbourne

They have an exciting opportunity for a part time Ambulance Driver in Paediatric Infant Perinatal Emergency Retrieval (PIPER) for neonatal Non Emergency Transports based at The Royal Children’s Hospital. This service currently requires rostered day shifts 7 days a week.

The PIPER Ambulance Driver Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that the Non Emergency teams and patients can quickly and safely be transferred to hospitals anywhere throughout Victoria.

The Ambulance Driver Assistant has responsibility for safely transporting the teams and newborn patients in purpose-built vehicles. In addition, it is expected that they will assist the teams in carrying out their tasks and maintain the vehicles to appropriate standards.

Skills Required for *Ambulance Driver Jobs Melbourne:

  • HLT31115 – Certificate III in Non-emergency Patient Transport or equivalent qualification/ higher qualification –please note: the selection criteria mentions a Cert 2, however, the requirement is Cert 3;
  • Hold a current, full and unrestricted Drivers Licence;
  • Demonstrated experience in driving, managing and maintaining patient vehicles;
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of medical equipment management and maintenance procedures.
