Ronnie Stevens is one of the newest Australian Paramedical College additions to the clinical training team on the beautiful Queensland Gold Coast.
As an emergency response professional, working in the construction sector for over 20 years, Ronnie decided a change was on the cards.
Ronnie’s supportive husband said she should follow her heart and continue her paramedical education. Her biggest thrill is to see how students develop their self-confidence during their time at the clinical workshops.
Initially, most students are unsure of what to expect, yet once they settle in to the flow, Ronnie tells us, it’s difficult to keep them quiet because they are just so excited about the immersive and supportive environment of the training centre.
The overarching end result is that all students go out into the world equipped with the skill and confidence to do what they have been trained to do.
Training to become part of the prehospital emergency health care sector elite is something to be admired. There are 3 courses to choose from; and it does not mean new students have to commit to years of study.
The entry-level patient transport qualification can be completed online in 6 months, with only one 3-day clinical workshops to attend. No matter what your future goals are, APC can help you on your way to becoming a medic/emergency medical technician (EMT) in the private sector.
We also provide pathways to university by way of the Diploma of Paramedical Science.
