The Assistant Commissioner is a key operational role within the QAS, reporting directly to the Commissioner. Accountable for all aspects of front line operational service delivery within the respective Local Ambulance Service Network (LASN),

Queensland Health / Multiple locations

  • Contract for 3 years with a possibilty of an extension
  • Salary in the range of $187,226 to $217,477 (Total Fixed Remuneration Value) per annum including superannuation.


The role provides a superior level of support to the Commissioner and senior executives in delivering organizational reform outcomes and achieving strategic business objectives and key performance indicators.  The Assistant Commissioner will contribute to the overall future direction of the QAS and ensure that quality, timely and appropriate pre-hospital care and transport services are provided to the Queensland community.
