About the role:
They are currently have opportunities available for Paramedics on a roster which promotes work/life balance. These roles are based in Central Queensland and single person’s camp accommodation will be available, if required.
Reporting to the Security and Emergency Management Supervisor, within the Health, Safety and Environment team.
Paramedic duties will include:

An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.

Maintaining systems to ensure emergency prevention, preparedness, response and recovery is effective.

Liaising with Operational Leaders to ensure medical / clinical management requirements are coordinated.

Management of specific Security and Emergency Management (SEM) projects aligned with HSE Business Plan.

Maintaining operational emergency response readiness.
-
Manage clinical presentations, medical emergencies and injury management.

Coordination of health promotion activities.
-
Assisting with site security, security access systems, and front of house duties.
-
Medical and first aid training.
-
Following BHP Medical treatment and drug protocols / guidelines.

Completing reports, clinical notes and other documentation.

Drug and Alcohol collection.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
-
Demonstrated experience in an emergency response role in the emergency medical arena.

Leadership skills and experience in managing people in emergency situations (Command and Control).

Outstanding organization and communication skills.

A minimum of a Diploma in Paramedical science is required.

Certificate III Mines Rescue or equivalent.
-
Current Open “C” Class Manual Drivers License.
-
Previous experience working in remote areas whilst not essential, will be highly regarded.
