Fire and Safety Australia are currently seeking applications from experienced and passionate Emergency Services Officers (ESO) to join their team to assist in the provision of Emergency Response Services for their major client located in WA.

The Purpose of *ESO Paramedic Mining Jobs WA:

As a valuable member of their emergency response team operating in the mining industry, you will assist with the daily operations of the team to ensure that the site is maintained in a state of emergency response preparedness readiness and provide a safe environment for all users.

Key Responsibilities for *ESO Paramedic Mining Jobs WA:

  • Responsible for the completion of duties essential to the prevention of, and response to all site risks and emergency incidents in a safe, proactive and professional manner
  • Delivery of emergency response training (non accredited)
  • Ensure compliance with site policies, procedures, plans and guidelines relating to emergency management at all times.

The successful candidates will hold the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Certificate III in Public Safety (fire fighting & emergency operations) or equivalent, or
  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
    • Operate Breathing Apparatus Open Circuit
    • Undertake Confined Space Rescue
    • Enter Confined Space
    • Work Safely at Heights
    • Gas Test Atmospheres
    • Undertake Vertical Rescue
    • Suppress Urban Fire
    • Render Hazardous Materials Incidents Safe
    • Monitor Hazardous Atmospheres
  • Senior First Aid, with Advanced Resuscitation as a minimum; or
  • Certificate II in Emergency Medical First Response or equivalent
  • Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence
  • Pro-active driver training
  • Maritime Security Identification Card
  • Construction Card
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in industrial emergency response
  • Proven experience within the fire and rescue industry, preferably within the mining sector
  • Demonstrated expertise in industrial fire, rescue and emergency operational concepts, procedures and systems
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient Computer skills in Microsoft Office

Applicants with the following additional skills/qualifications will be looked upon favorably:

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Certificate IV Public Safety (Fire Fighting & Emergency Operations)
  • Cert II Medical and Emergency Response
  • Ability to actively promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • The ability to build relationships and provide resolutions to workplace situations
  • Ability to operate under quality systems
