This is a unique opportunity to work offshore in the Indian Ocean off the north western coastline of Western Australia.
FIFO position offered if you’re living in Australia and New Zealand
Working 3 weeks on/3 weeks rosters
Position start date 7th January 2018
You will be the focal point for medical consultation and treatment whilst on duty and provide primary health care, initial emergency response and other related services to all client employees and subcontractors on site.
Skills and Experience required:
Formal Qualification in Paramedical studies (Bachelor Degree in Paramedic or Health Science or equivalent) and;
Postgraduate qualifications as Intensive Care Paramedic: (Intensive Care Paramedic e.g. Graduate Diploma (ICP) or Masters (ICP) – depending on jurisdiction, this may include Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA), Paramedic, Clinical Manager (Royal Australian Navy), Intensive Care Paramedic (ALS), Level 5 Paramedicor:
Three (3) years “on road” experience as an intensive care paramedic, mobile intensive care paramedic, critical care paramedic or similar with a State or Territory ambulance service in Australia/NZ.
Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in an offshore/remote location,
Preferably you hold (or are willing to obtain):
Advanced Life Support training (ALS2), or NZ Core Advanced
BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)

Firefighting and Self Rescue – Use of appropriate hand held portable fire extinguisher, small bore fire hose reel and fire blanket – Appropriate self rescue techniques using a smoke hood.
OGUK – The course is aimed at people with little or no exposure to the industry. (Medical Oil & Gas UK – Offshore workers need to pass an Offshore Medical Examination if they wish to work offshore.The OGUK Offshore Medical is valid for two years and allows an employee to work in the UK sector or the North Sea or around the world and is an essential pre-requisite for the Intensive Care Paramedic offshore oil & gas job.) – The BOSIET course is a mandatory requirement for people wishing to work in the oil and gas industry, and is recognised in various regions around the world, including cold waters.This course typically consists of;
Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC). https://www.msic.net.au/ If you work in a maritime security zone such as off the coast of Western Australia, you need to hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC). The MSIC is a national identification card that proves you have passed a background check, and met the minimum security requirements to work unescorted or unmonitored in a maritime security zone
