International SOS is seeking YOU to join Offshore Medical Services team of Health Care Professionals.

Seeking expressions of interest from experienced Medical Practitioners for a number of potential projects to commence immediately until  late 2017. You will be working on rigs/vessels/ASV’s offshore Western Australia.

Provide acute health care (ALS) to clients in an offshore setting to the standards set out by International SOS Policies and Procedures. Participate in the organization and support of medical evacuations in liaison with the relevant International SOS Assistance Center as indicated in current Medical Evacuation Response Plan (MERP);

  • Perform health monitoring as agreed with client;
  • Liaise with relevant parties involved in the injury management of employees;
  • Demonstrate commitment to Client QHSE policies through leadership and guidance;

Candidate requirements:

  • Must have work rights in Australia and live in Australia or New Zealand;
  • Primary Qualification in Medicine;
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner;
  • Five (5) years’ work experience in Emergency Medicine;
  • Three (3) years’ work experience in a Remote Location;
  • Have a ‘General’ or ‘Specialist’ registration type;
  • Current Certification (i.e. less than three (3) years) in:
    • Advanced Life Support 2
    • Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Certification.
  • Be able to demonstrate evidence of Skills Maintenance, as defined below:
    • An annual 6-12 week hands on retraining or refresher in an emergency room, trauma unit or similar setting, unless knowledge and skills have been maintained on a continual basis in an above-mentioned setting.
  • Current OGUK medical;
  • Opito accredited BOSIET;
  • Current MSIC;
  • Be a specialist Emergency Physician with Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) (only for selected projects);

You would join the team of medical professionals working across a number of projects providing primary health care, injury and illness management, emergency medical care, mass casualty management other related services to all client employees and subcontractors on site, as per agreed scope of work at various offshore installations.
