About *Paramedic Jobs South Walker Creek*: 

Reporting to the Security and Emergency Management Supervisor, within the Health, Safety and Environment team. This permanent position is located at South Walker Creek in the QLD Bowen Basin on a family friendly roster of 7/7.  This position on of offer can be DIDO or residential.

In *Paramedic Jobs South Walker Creek* you will:

  • Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
  • Maintain systems to ensure emergency prevention, preparedness, response and recovery is effective.
  • Liaising with Operational Leaders to ensure medical / clinical management requirements are coordinated.
  • Management of specific Security and Emergency Management (SEM) projects aligned with HSE Business Plan.
  • Maintain operational medical emergency response readiness.
  • Manage clinical presentations, medical emergencies and injury management.
  • Assist with site security, security access systems, and front of house duties.
  • Follow BHP Medical treatment and drug protocols / guidelines.
  • Complete reports, clinical notes and other documentation.
  • Complete monthly poison permit audits and clinical governance duties.
  • Coordination of health promotion activities, medical and first aid training and Drug and Alcohol collection.

About you:

You will have successfully completed a bachelor degree in paramedical science and have a certificate III Mines Rescue or equivalent. Previous site experience and exposure to drug and alcohol testing is highly desirable.

Having exposure to Health, Safety and Environmental protocols and emergency management with paramedical care will demonstrate your leadership skills in managing people in emergency situations.

Energetic and driven, you work well with challenges, bringing attention to detail and an ability to meet multiple deadlines. You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build strong working relationships.
