New South Wales Ambulance provides patient transport services for the people and community of Inverell, which as you can see from the above map is situated inland from Coffs Harbour.
Full-time paramedics are needed for the rural location;although this job could mean the successful Paramedic being reassigned to other centres from time to time. Such is the nature of being a Paramedic, you need to be prepared to move around, which contributes to the excitement of the job as well as keeping you fresh and alert.
The position also involves several personal background checks including satisfactory conduct and services,referee/supervisor, service check register, and other service background checks as put forward by NSW Ambulance.
You will be required to participate in ASNSW Performance Development Programs also to keep your professional development on track.
Patient transport involves emergency and non-emergency call-outs, so Paramedics can be prepared for anything.

In 2015/16 ASNSW provided 1,115,635 total responses (both emergency and non-emergency) compared to 1,127,545 total responses in 2014/15. There were on average 3048 responses per day – this is equivalent to a response every 28 seconds.
The service employs over 4,500 people, with 90 per cent being operational staff involved in the front line delivery of services. This includes paramedics and specialised areas such as intensive care and extended care paramedics, special operations, counter disaster, aero-medical and medical retrieval.
The remaining 10 per cent of the workforce are corporate and support staff who assist in the delivery of services, including mechanical workshops, finance and payroll, human resources and administration.
