Adult Retrieval Victoria (ARV) is part of Ambulance Victoria (AV) and provides state-wide clinical coordination, retrieval and critical care services, including Major Trauma transfers. ARV is currently seeking applications from qualified Patient Transport Officers to fill a number of casual positions located at South Melbourne.

About the role

Patient Transport Officers-ARV (PTO) are responsible for providing effective & efficient transport of critically ill patients from a referring health service to a suitable destination health service/critical care unit. Working as a member of the ARV team, Patient Transport Officers provide high quality and appropriate assistance in the administration of clinical care in accordance with individual patient needs as a patient carer in the PTO role as well as providing administrative and call taking assistance as required.

About you

To apply for this position applicants must hold a minimum of any of the following qualifications: Certificate 3 in Health Science (Non-Emergency Patient Transport); Certificate 3 in Health Science (Ambulance Transport Attendant); or Certificate 3 in Health Science (Patient Transport Officer) or one of the following alternative Ambulance qualifications:

To be successful in this position you will also be confident using ARV equipment and hold a current full Victorian Drivers License.

The successful applicants will be required to pass a medical and physical fitness assessment as determined by Ambulance Victoria.

  • Certified copy of your relevant qualification(s)
