Norton Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Emergency Response Coordinator to join their team. Reporting to the Safety and Training Superintendent you will be responsible for providing and coordinating all site first aid and emergency response services.
Key Tasks Include:
Establish and coordinate Norton’s emergency response team, including all medical and training requirements.
Assist in the development, implementation, audit and communication of Norton’s Emergency Management plans in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and the Site Emergency Management Standard
Establish and manage Norton’s Emergency Response Annual Budget ensuring it is maintained within the parameters set by Site, including forecasting and invoicing. Oversee the management of various Emergency Response Contracts to ensure the provision of essential Emergency Service functions.
Maintain and oversee Norton’s annual emergency drill schedule ensuring that all Regulatory requirements have been met and all outcomes from drills have been reported, with actions captured and monitored for completion.
Coordinate, deliver and participate in the provision of Emergency Preparedness training to Norton Incident and Crisis Management Team members.
Ensure continual coverage for on-call Emergency Response services to provide a proactive approach to Emergency Response call outs.
Attend and engage in both internal and external meetings/conferences pertaining to Emergency Response to ensure compliance with industry standards. This includes communicating relevant information internally and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with external organizations.
Support staff with safety investigation and incident reporting to ensure recommendations are consistent and a fair outcome has been achieved.
Coordinate, maintain and advise on Fire Services equipment (Fixed, portable and mobile) across all operational sites.
Coordinate, maintain and advise on Emergency Response facilities and equipment across all operational sites (including First Aid Rooms).
To establish, maintain and effectively communicate Paddington’s Emergency Response procedures, guidelines and training programs in regards to meeting their obligation under all relevant legislation, acts and regulations.
Oversee and coordinate Norton’s Fitness for Work testing program.
Oversee and coordinate Norton’s gas monitoring equipment and contract across the operational sites.
Qualifications for this Position:
Current unencumbered HR Western Australian Drivers License.
Minimum Certificate IV – Training and Assessor (Desirable).
Mining Certificate II in Public Safety (Fire-fighting and Emergency Operations or equivalent desirable).
Mining of Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response or similar.
Accredited Drug and Alcohol tester as per ASNZS 4308 (Desirable).
