About the role:

Emergency Services Officer your duties will include:

• An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
• Maintaining systems to ensure emergency prevention, preparedness, response and recovery is effective.
• Liaising with Operational Leaders to ensure emergency management requirements are coordinated.
• Management of specific Security and Emergency Management (SEM) projects aligned with HSE Business Plan.
• Maintaining operational emergency response readiness.
• Assisting with site security, security access systems, and front of house duties.
• Following BHP Medical treatment and drug protocols / guidelines.
• Completing reports, clinical notes and other documentation.
• Drug and Alcohol collection.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience in an emergency response role in the emergency medical arena.
• Leadership skills and experience in managing people in emergency situations (Command and Control).
• Outstanding organization and communication skills.
• Exposure to drug and alcohol testing and Health, Safety and Environment protocols is essential.
• Certificate III Mines Rescue or equivalent.
• Relevant First Aid Qualification.
• Current Open “C” Class Manual Drivers License.
• Previous experience working in remote areas whilst not essential, will be highly regarded.
• Certificate IV Workplace Trainer & Assessor whilst not essential, is highly desirable.
