Emergency Services Officer – Surface & Underground Roles
SETS Enterprises are a leader in their field for providing Emergency Personnel support to the mining sector, in roles such as Emergency Service Officers, Medics, Nurses and Advisors.
SETS Enterprises are currently seeking experienced Emergency Service Officers for both Surface and Underground operations for a number of casual roles with an Immediate start.
Emergency Services Officer with SETS you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following functions:
- Respond to onsite emergencies and maintain a state of operational readiness
- Plan and deliver weekly skills maintenance training to ER Team volunteers
- Conduct pre-starts and scheduled weekly equipment checks
- Respirator fit testing
- Conduct drug and alcohol screening
- Maintain all Principal supplied facilities and equipment to the appropriate housekeeping standard
- Comply with all Principal Policies and Procedures.
Emergency Services Officer Surface & Underground Roles Pilbara
The minimum qualifications and licenses desired for this role are as follows:
- Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) (HLT41007)
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue (RII30715)
- Medium Rigid (MR) drivers license to operate site fire appliances
- Physically fit to perform the role
- National Police Clearance certificate (current to within 6 months of appointment)
Underground role will also require:
- Extensive experience in an underground mining environment
- Extensive underground mines rescue experience
- BG4 qualified.
Applicants must possess a demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of professionalism and a solid work ethic. They will be required to work as part of a small, highly professional team.
Additionally, applicants must have a high level of personal fitness and physically be able to conduct all tasks of an Emergency Service Officer. Pre-employment medicals and functional capacity evaluations are conducted prior to offers of employment.
