Paramedic Jobs WA: ESO Paramedics needed in Western Australia
Westgold is seeking Emergency Services Officer to join their team for the Central Murchison Gold Project. This position is offered as FIFO from Perth, DIDO from Geraldton or residential in Meekatharra.
The chosen candidate for “ESO Paramedic Jobs Western Australia” will fulfill the following:
Coordinate and conduct regular emergency response training
Ensure the site is always in a good state of emergency preparedness by ensuring that all emergency services assets are in operational order and maintained
Positively contribute to safety and department meetings
Participate in workplace investigations as required
Provide leadership to Emergency Service Volunteers during emergencies
Maintain high standards in all emergency service tasks
Build relationships with other departments and employees to ensure problems are addressed and resolved effectively
Undertake Safety related Training as required
Develop weekly Emergency Response On Call Roster
Develop 12 month Emergency Response Training schedule including (maintenance and block training)
Maintain all site specific Emergency Management documentation.
Prepare and coordinate site evacuation drills and Incident Control Drills

Westgold currently owns three operating gold projects with a fourth under refurbishment. The four processing facilities have a combined 5.5 million tonnes per annum treatment capacity. All are located in the prolific gold production belts of Western Australia. The Total Mineral Resource Estimate of these four projects contain an aggregate 15.4 million ounces of gold.
The Ore Reserve subset of these totals 2.89 million ounces of gold.
The Central Murchison Gold Project is centrally located in the Murchison gold province, approximately 600 km northeast of Perth. The Murchison Province is the current focus of significant underground and open pit gold development activity in Western Australia. Several projects within a 100 km radius of the CMGP are currently in construction, commissioning and production.

Essential Selection Criteria and Experience Required:
NOTE: Paramedic ESO’s in the mines don’t always need a degree to apply for these jobs. As you can see, Westgold are advertising for an Emergency Services Officer with the minimum requirement of a HLT41115 – Certificate IV in Health Care. Essential skills and qualifications are of course Cert III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue as well the appropriate Fire and Emergency qualifications.
Cert III Public Safety (Fire & Emergency Operations)
Previous experience in both surface and underground operations (don’t let this put you off from applying for this job – apply anyway, even if you don’t have a lot of experience)
