About the role:
Medical Edge Australia is recruiting Patient Transport Officers holding minimum Certificate III in Non-emergency Patient Transport (HLT31115) or equivalent qualifications for PIPER Operations in Victoria on a partime and casual basis.
The Patient Transport Officer (PTO) provides low, medium and high acuity transport for a range of patients with various needs. The PTO must have a sound understanding of the clinical guidelines, licensing requirements and Medical Edge Australia policies and procedures.

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong customer focus. For consideration, applicants must have a minimum of one year PTO experience with a licensed NEPT Provider. Qualified and registered Paramedics who have relevant emergency services employment history may also be considered.
Recruitment process for Melbourne Patient Transport Officer Jobs:
- Online Application
- Interview Session consisting of group interview, face to face and practical assessment
- Driving Assessment
Prior to being offered a position, applicants will need to provide the following:
- Pre-Employment Medical Check
- Valid Employment Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
- Police Check obtained within six months of applying
- Proof/or willingness to obtain the required immunisations for NEPT work
