Role Description

This position provides front line out of hospital care, medical retrieval and health related transport for sick and injured people in an emergency and non-emergency setting, accurately assessing and documenting patients’ health and medical needs to determine and implement appropriate paramedical care in line with NSW Ambulance policies and procedures.

New South Wales Ambualnce has 3 training pathways. Trainee Paramedic (Vocational entry), Trainee Paramedic (Graduate entry) and Qualified Paramedic pathway. The role we are discussing is the trainee paramedic role.

Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a degree or a Diploma in Paramedical Science
  • Applicants must hold a current Certificate to Practice or be currently undertaking the necessary 
  • Hold citizenship or permanent residency
  • Hold an unrestricted NSW driving licence with a good history

  • Evidence  of Residency (Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident)
  • A complete full Driving History (Must have a Full and Unrestricted Licence and willingness to acquire LR licence)
  • Paramedic Qualifications, current Certificate to Practice, Paramedic Scope of Practice and Letter of Service from current/previous Ambulance employer
