Paramedic Advisor Job Rozelle NSW Ambulance
The SAMIS program is a major infrastructure program which will progressively upgrade ambulance station infrastructure across Sydney over a period of five years. To realise the benefits of the new infrastructure, NSW Ambulance will need to implement significant changes to its service delivery, clinical services (particularly education and training) and operational logistics porfolios.
This change program must be built on strong collaboration with staff and managers across all divisions.
The Paramedic Advisor Make Ready Model (MRM) will facilitate the implementation process of the MRM at the Paramedic Response Network (PRN) Superstations.

Essential Selection Criteria and Experience Required:
Demonstrated experience working in a complex environment dealing with and influencing senior management and stakeholders to meet project needs in a timely manner.
Demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support, staff development, performance management and the early identification of unacceptable workplace behaviours and taking appropriate action such as investigation, resolution and monitoring of harassment and bullying, grievance issues and conflict resolution.
Proven negotiation and delegation skills and demonstrated ability to work with multiple and diverse stakeholders including demonstration of high level leadership.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex operational problems and implement creative solutions to increase ambulance capacity.
Demonstrated knowledge of and extensive experience in ambulance operations, and a demonstrated knowledge of major/special events requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSW Ambulance policies, practices and procedures and the ability to implement these.
Demonstrated experience in computer applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Evidence of successful completion of IIMS training.
The successful applicant will be appointed under the terms and conditions of the Operational Ambulance Officers (State) Award.
The position is located between State Headquarters, Rozelle and various PRN superstation locations.
This position will be required to perform a rotating roster to support superstation go-live activities.
The successful applicant will be required to enter into annual Performance Development Program.

Appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory conduct and service checks, which includes referee/supervisor check, a review of sick leave, ability to undertake full duties of the position and clearances from the Professional Standards Unit, Ambulance Education Centre and Infection Control.
