THE OPPORTUNITY :

Proudly Australian, Sonic HealthPlus is now the largest provider of corporate medicine in the country. With a national network of wholly owned metropolitan and remote clinics, they deliver Occupational Health, General Practice and integrated medical, paramedical and wellness services to both large and small corporate and community groups.
Due to their continued growth and expansion, they are seeking a FIFO or DIDO Onsite Paramedics who possess a passion for remote work and high quality care to join their Site Services team in QLD, on a full-time maximum term contract. You will be responsible for the provision of professional and efficient emergency services for both day shift and night shift at a mine site in Blackwater, QLD which will include:
  • Providing proactive and reactive pre‐hospital and post patient care, health, safety and emergency.
  • Support at the mine Site in order to prevent, control and treat injuries and illness;
  • Coach, lead and advise mine personnel and emergency response team in order to prevent and if needed effectively treat injuries,
  • Provide creation and monitoring of return to work programs, pre and post illness and injury management.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS for *Registered Paramedic Jobs QLD :

As the successful candidate you will be a qualified Advanced Care Paramedic with a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and at least 3 years emergency / remote or on road experience. Written references and examples with applications will be advantageous.
You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with;
  • Diploma of Paramedical Science or equivalent
  • Apply First Aid Certification & CPR
  • Standard 11 Mine Safety Induction
  • Certificate IV in workplace Training and Assessment
  • Advanced 4WD certificate/DTEC
  • Demonstrated experience working under the Health (Drugs and Poisons) Regulation as a Paramedic
  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
  • Course in Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • Availability to work on a 7on 7 off roster
  • High attention to detail
  • Highly experienced working remotely under a client contract
