Didn’t get the ATAR you were hoping for? That’s ok! The HLT51020 – Diploma of Emergency Health Care is an excellent starting point for those aspiring to become a Paramedic with no ATAR requirements to get started.
This pathway enables you to develop practical skills, medical knowledge, and qualifies you for healthcare employment before pursuing university studies. Check out these universities which accept VET Entry and have RPL available.

With over 20 years of combined experience, our collaboration with MEA allows students to apply theoretical knowledge under the supervision of their healthcare experts, fostering a commitment to service excellence and high standards.
As an APC student, you can connect with MEA for clinical placements across Australia, gaining valuable work experience in various event settings. Similar to many of our other incredible Industry Partners, there are often employment opportunities for our graduates following the completion of their work experience with MEA too!
APC Graduate | Clinical Workshop to employment
Tasha had worked in the family business for 11 years while raising two kids, and wanted to start something for herself. Patient Transport felt like a good fit, so she enrolled in APC’s HLT31120 Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport.
A few days after completing the Clinical Workshop Tasha landed a Patient Transport Officer (PTO) job with our industry partner Medical Edge Australia!
