Our Industry Partnership
In partnership since 2021, Australian Paramedical College (APC) is delighted to have ProMED Tasmania on board as an industry partner.
Our collaboration with ProMED Tasmania means APC students are able to complete their Clinical Placement under the supervision of their qualified and experienced healthcare professionals with the possibility of employment once graduated too!

About ProMED Tasmania
ProMED Tasmania are Tasmania’s leading provider for event medical and first aid services. With 40 clinicians state-wide and with 20 years’ experience in their management team alone, APC students are in safe hands when completing Clinical Placement with ProMED Tasmania.
Damien Almond, ProMED Tasmania’s co-owner and registered paramedic, shared “ProMED Tasmania is able to offer APC students with clinical placement at some of Tasmania’s largest events as well as smaller events. Students will have the opportunity to attend music festivals, motocross, cycling, mountain biking, conferences, martial arts, motorsports plus many more exciting events while working alongside our experienced, qualified clinicians.”

Diverse, hands-on learning
There is no such thing as a ‘quiet weekend’ for ProMED Tasmania, sometimes in attendance of up to 15 events to provide quality healthcare services for the communities of Tasmania!
This means increased Clinical Placement opportunities for APC students, not to mention a variety of events to bolster their experience, such as:
- Carols by the beach
- Party in the Paddock
- ID Rodeos
- Taste of Summer, and more!
Ongoing employment opportunities
ProMED Tasmania not only offer our students Clinical Placement opportunities during the completion of their course, they also offer employment to the right candidates upon graduation. Should openings be available, ProMED Tasmania employs a range of roles including medical responders, basic life support medic, and advanced life support medic.
Opportunities to upskill using ProMED Tasmania’s in-house training are available to their staff as well to help facilitate a smooth transition into the workforce for new graduates.
