Cert III student becomes PTO
Tasha studied the HLT31120 – Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport with APC and a few days after completing her Clinical Workshop, got the exciting news she’d secured a position as Patient Transport Officer (PTO) with our wonderful Industry Partner, Medical Edge Australia (MEA).
“It’s been such an amazing experience, and to get a job out of it at the end… it’s blown my mind, I’m so happy!” she shared.

Through a combination of low – high acuity shifts in Melbourne, APC students are able to help provide healthcare services on-site as part of their Clinical Placement.
APC students in Tasmania can complete their Clinical Placement under the supervision of their experienced healthcare professionals with the possibility of employment upon graduation.
Offering APC students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at their Woodlawn Copper-Zinc Project in New South Wales with the possibility of employment in the mining sector once graduated.
St John WA offers Clinical Placement to APC students in 18 different locations ensuring they have the chance to receive real-life experience and prepare them for the workforce.
This collaboration allows students in South Australia to complete their Clinical Placement with experienced practitioners in safe and controlled environments across a wide range of events.
We are proud to partner with Soldier On to help their participants upskill and enable them to discover a career in the healthcare industry beyond their ADF service. As an Education Partner our goal is to ultimately help support ex-serving ADF veterans transition into a new career post-service.
