About the Role

Illawarra Urgent Response is looking for First Aid Officers and medical personnel to join our growing event response team.

We provide first aid and emergency response services across the Illawarra and regional NSW, supporting a wide range of events throughout the year.

Positions Available

We are looking for:

  • First Aid Officers
  • Advanced First Aid Officers
  • Certificate III qualified personnel
  • Certificate IV qualified personnel
  • Diploma qualified personnel

The Events

We cover approximately 40–60 events each year, including:

  • Sports events
  • Community events
  • Festivals
  • Horse riding events
  • Agricultural and rural events
  • And much more

Events are held throughout the Illawarra, with opportunities to work at selected events across regional NSW.

Application Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a current Working With Children Check
  • Hold the relevant first aid or medical qualification
  • Be reliable, professional and punctual
  • Be confident working in a busy event environment
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be available for casual event work, including weekends
  • Have a valid drivers license (not learner) and your own reliable transport
  • Knowledge of using two-way radios
  • Previous event, first aid or emergency response experience
  • Previous experience is preferred but not essential. We are happy to consider applicants who are reliable, willing to learn and have the appropriate qualifications.
