About the role
As an Extended Care Paramedic (ECP), you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare system by
providing high-quality care in aged care settings. Using a broad range of clinical skills, you will manage
non-urgent and complex cases, helping reduce pressure on frontline emergency services so they can
focus on critical emergencies.
This role will involve and not limited to:
· IDC catheter insertion and management
· Chronic disease flare-ups
· Wound care and soft tissue injuries
· Supporting people who experience changes in behaviour, mood, or thinking.
· Palliative and End of Life Care
· Clinical Assessments
About you
- Strong clinical knowledge and proven experience as an ECP
- Aged Care experience ideal
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Confidence to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work night shifts on a rotating roster including weekends
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Experience as a sole responder
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor of Paramedicine and valid AHPRA registration
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence with a safe driving record
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Evidence of three COVID-19 vaccinations and annual Influenza vaccination
- Category A immunisation evidence
- Current Mask Fit Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
