About the role

As an Extended Care Paramedic (ECP), you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare system by
providing high-quality care in aged care settings. Using a broad range of clinical skills, you will manage
non-urgent and complex cases, helping reduce pressure on frontline emergency services so they can
focus on critical emergencies.

This role will involve and not limited to:


· IDC catheter insertion and management
· Chronic disease flare-ups
· Wound care and soft tissue injuries
· Supporting people who experience changes in behaviour, mood, or thinking.
· Palliative and End of Life Care
· Clinical Assessments

About you

  • Strong clinical knowledge and proven experience as an ECP
  • Aged Care experience ideal
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Confidence to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to work night shifts on a rotating roster including weekends
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
  • Experience as a sole responder

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor of Paramedicine and valid AHPRA registration
