About the Role

Serco is recruiting Patient Transport Officers to join its healthcare team, providing safe, compassionate, and professional transport services for patients requiring non-emergency care.

Working within a hospital-based patient transport environment, you will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.

We are seeking motivated professionals for the following role:

  • Patient Transport Officers

Pay

$32.27 per hour + super

Enjoy a 4-day working week with 10-hour shifts, offering better work-life balance. Some weekend work may be required – with generous penalty rates:

  • Saturday: 1.5x
  • Sunday: 1.75x

Application Requirements

Applications should meet the following requirements:

  • Current driver’s licence
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and safety
  • Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport / Certificate IV in Healthcare or Ambulance-related qualifications
