Student Success Officer

Gold Coast | Full Time

About The Role

As a Student Success Officer, you will provide exceptional customer service and be at the heart of supporting our students as they progress through their course.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be the first point of contact for students seeking support via inbound calls, emails, and other internal student support platforms.
  • Proactively liaise with students via calls and emails to understand concerns, resolve issues and ensure timely course progression.
  • Contribute to student profiling by understanding student needs based on interactions, student surveys and reviews.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to resolve student challenges as required.
  • Host virtual and in-person events to educate students on APC and their courses.
  • Advocate for students and represent their voice within APC.
  • Effective administration of processes associated with the student journey using internal student support platforms
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including creating student workshop packs, student uniform stock control, and stationery orders.
  • Promote APC to current and prospective students, industry, and other partners.
  • Attend and participate in regular APC professional development activities as required

Paramedical Trainer & Assessor

Gold Coast | Full Time

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate trainer to join our growing team! The role is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding facilitator to support and deliver a high-quality learning experience for our students across the three primary qualifications Australian Paramedical College offers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver practical and theory-based lectures via face-to-face intensive clinical workshops in our state-of-the-art training facility located in Burleigh Heads and across other states as required
  • Mark theory-based online assessment and provide timely feedback to students
  • Deliver online learning and proactive student support through virtual trainer chats, online student discussion groups, and 1-on-1 student conversations
  • Engage and actively participate in our systematic student assessment activities, providing feedback and advice to identify areas for improvement
  • Identify and contribute to reasonable adjustments for online training and assessment as required to support student training and assessment outcomes
  • Identify and contribute to required improvements in written learning materials
  • Attend and participate in regular APC professional development activities as required

About You

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Industry qualifications: Bachelor of Paramedicine or HLT51015 Diploma of Paramedical Science.
  • Teaching qualifications: TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE 50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
  • Current workplace experience in a pre-hospital emergency health care setting and maintain clinical pre-hospital care competencies.
  • Extensive training and education experience preferably in the Vocational Education and Training sector
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise and coordinate with stakeholders at all levels (internal and external)
  • Demonstrated successful leadership experience within an educational environment and a proven ability to motivate, coach, mentor and develop teams and individuals
  • Highly skilled with technology and education and training software
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing student and business requirements
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Honesty, integrity, and a positive approach
  • Willingness to travel interstate (as required)
  • Current Queensland driver’s licence
