Overcoming COVID-19 Challenges

COVID-19 has made 2020 a challenging year, especially for businesses. Working our way through a Pandemic was uncharted waters for us, and one that crept up on us quite quickly. In the video above, you can hear directly from Australian Paramedical College’s CEO talk about the challenges we were faced with.

Similarly to most businesses, we were forced to make changes and quite quickly too. The safety of our staff, their families and our students is always our top priority so our staff worked remotely for most of the lockdown periods.

It was also imperative we minimised any disruptions to our current students. We were dedicated to ensuring their studies and training remained on track and as uninterrupted as possible.

Most of our course content is completed online, so our students were able to continue to move through their online studies at their own pace. However, we were forced to postpone all our planned Clinical Workshops for close to 3 months as these are face-to-face intensive training sessions.

Here are a few things we did to increase support to our students during this time:
– Live Trainer Chat’s via Zoom (you can learn more about that here)
– Extra webinars and bonus course material
– Additional assessment support
– Extra study tips

Thankfully now that the restrictions are lifting (as of October 2020) we are now able to host our Clinical Workshops again in most states. We are taking additional safety measures, increased PPE and fewer student numbers which allow us to maintain adequate social distancing. Learn more about our Clinical Workshops here.
